RSA workshop: finish the query in 30 characters
In this lesson
- Write a 15-headline / 4-description RSA that names the unit, the town, and the booking action
- Know when pinning is required vs lazy
The query is the first headline
If the query is “used CR-V Frederick,” a useful headline set includes: Used CR-Vs in Frederick; 48-Hour Test Drive; Same-Day Credit Decision; See Today’s CR-Vs; Book a Saturday Appointment. Useless: Family-Owned Excellence; We Love Our Customers; Best Deals Around. Pin a headline only when the law or the offer must always show (for example a licensed-dealer line). Pinning every slot because you like the order is how you get one ad, not an RSA.
Descriptions that survive the fold
Two descriptions should restate the offer and the next action. Two can handle objections (financing on approved credit; inventory changes daily — come see what’s here). Do not write prices you cannot keep for 30 days. Do not invent “#1 dealer in Maryland.” Extensions: sitelinks to inventory, financing, hours. Call extension only if a human answers during the hours you claim. Fake sitelinks are worse than missing ones.
Exercise
Write one inventory RSA
For ad group “Inv | CUV-phrase” write 15 headlines (max 30 characters each) and 4 descriptions (max 90). Mark which 2 headlines you would pin and why. Include at least 3 headlines that contain CR-V or Frederick or the 48-hour test drive.
Deliverable: 15 headlines + 4 descriptions + pin notes + character counts.
