Comments and DMs are the inbox · 22 min
The weekly organic review (not a vanity deck)
In this lesson
- Report comments-to-books, not impressions
Four numbers a GM will read
Posts published. Comments that asked a shopper question. DMs that said WANT or equivalent. Appointments booked from those threads. That is the weekly. Impressions can be a footnote if you have them — never invent them. If appointments are zero and comments were five, the failure is the reply ritual, not “the algorithm.” Fix the owner, the hours line, or the offer before you film more sunsets.
How to write the weekly without inventing reach
Open a four-row table every Monday. Row 1: posts that actually published (not “we meant to”). Row 2: comments that asked a shopper question — still there, hours, price, WANT — not heart emojis. Row 3: DMs that used the book word. Row 4: appointments the desk logged from those threads. If you cannot open Insights, write unknown on impressions and still fill the four rows. A GM who sees 6 posts, 4 shopper comments, 2 WANT DMs, and 1 Saturday book can coach the ritual. A GM who sees “12k reach, vibes high” cannot. If row 4 is zero two weeks in a row, the next change is the reply owner or the fourth line — not a new trending audio.
Exercise
Fill last week’s four rows
Using Northfield fiction, invent honest sandbox counts (not live Insights) for posts, shopper comments, WANT DMs, and booked appointments. Then write the one change you would make if appointments were zero.
Deliverable: 4 sandbox numbers + 1 change sentence.
A pretty grid with zero books is a hobby. This course grades the hobby off the calendar.
