The 20-minute meeting agenda
In this lesson
- Run a meeting that ends on a yes, a no, or a dated next step
Minutes 1–5 facts, 6–15 surfaces, 16–20 the ask
Open by repeating her numbers: 61 forms, 22 booked, 9 no-shows, 14 unlogged Maps calls. Walk the five-surface map. Ask which break she wants first. End with a dated next step: sandbox walk-through Tuesday 10:00, or a written no. Do not demo 40 screens. Do not pivot to a social calendar when she looks tired. Do not take a live customer export “to personalize.” Write the next step as you would in CRM class: verb, person, time.
Script the last four minutes
Minute 16: “The break I heard is forms that never become a next step, and Maps calls with no row. Is that the first surface you want fixed?” Minute 17: she picks inbox or she picks site scheduler. Minute 18: you offer Tuesday 10:00 for a sandbox walk-through of that one surface — not all five. Minute 19: if she hesitates, you offer a written one-pager on the five surfaces with her numbers, due Friday, and a yes/no on the walk-through. Minute 20: you repeat the dated step out loud and you write it before you stand up. If she says not now, you write the no and you do not book a “maybe next quarter” that nobody owns.
A meeting without a dated next step is a conversation you will remember as a win and she will forget.
